Build the Satellite1 Together
Actually really enjoyed the process of getting my dev kit assembled. At first, the overall process was intimidating when I looked at all the pieces in the box, but after going through all the documentation, it was pretty fun and easy.
The voice commands are super fast and responsive, which is awesome. The only reason it is not a five-star review is that the sound quality is just not as good as comparable-size Sonos speakers. Otherwise, I would love to do a full transition away from Sonos to these.
After receiving the replacement Dev Kit, which actualy worked, I must say that I am happy with the product.
Documentation has not stayed current with the hardware revisions. The DIY enclosures are not compatible with the version I received which was not mentioned anywhere. Lot of potential but not there yet.
Hi Leo, please do ping us @ discord.futureproofhomes.net and let us know where docs are unclear and we'll make updates. Also, the docs are open-source, if we missed anyting please also feel free to submit a PR change those docs. Thanks and sorry for any confusion caused!
I absolutely love the Satellite1 Dev Kit. Solid build and sounds pretty good. Definitely gonna get more. Not the biggest fan of the shipping though.
I love it! Keep up the really good work!
